      Plain-English summary: LobbyBuddy collects only the information needed to run your AI receptionist. We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

LobbyBuddy ("we," "us," or "our") provides AI-powered receptionist services for local businesses. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website, interact with our live demo, or use our service as a business customer.

2. Information we collect

When you interact with our live demo (voice or text):

Your phone number (provided automatically by your carrier)
The content of your call or text conversation with the AI
Call duration and timestamp

When you book a consultation via Calendly:

Name, email address, and any information you provide during booking
This data is collected and stored by Calendly under their own privacy policy

When you visit our website:

Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer)
We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

Operate and improve the live demo experience
Respond to your consultation requests
Diagnose technical issues and monitor service quality
Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information to serve you ads, sell to data brokers, or build marketing profiles.

4. Voice call notice

Our live demo involves interaction with an AI voice system. By calling the demo number, you acknowledge and consent to the following:

Your call may be processed and recorded by our AI system and underlying telephony providers
Call recordings and transcripts may be retained for up to 90 days for quality and safety purposes
If you are calling from a state with two-party consent recording laws (such as California, Illinois, or Washington), your use of the demo constitutes your consent to recording

5. SMS / text message notice

When you text our demo number, your message content and phone number are processed by our AI system and our SMS provider. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP.

6. How we share your information

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We use third-party vendors (such as telephony, SMS, and AI infrastructure providers) to operate our service. These vendors process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
Business transfer: If LobbyBuddy is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

7. Data retention

Demo call and text interaction data is retained for up to 90 days and then deleted. Website log data is retained for up to 12 months. Consultation booking data is governed by Calendly's retention policy.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email us at nick@lobbybuddy.co. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of any sale of that information (we do not sell personal information).

9. Children's privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our site or demo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
